The 46th Annual EANGUS Conference was held in Reno Nevada 27-30 August 2017. MONGA had eight members in attendance with three voting delegates. The conference was a resounding success. During the conference, we were joined by Chief of the National Guard Bureau General Joseph L. Lengyel and Command Sergeant Major Christopher Kepner. They spoke to the future of the National Guard and conducted a question and answer session that provided insight that we could have not received elsewhere.
We received a multiple committee reports that provided us with updates on national level resolutions including resolutions concerning Technicians and their ability to use TRICARE. The update noted that the option for Technicians and the use of TRICARE is still in the 2018 NDAA and appears that it will stay that way. The Missouri voting delegates exercised their voice and voted on a number of issues including national level bylaws matters affecting the organization. Multiple changes were voted for approval and as a result, EANGUS will now be able to represent the voice of the enlisted force with more efficiency.
